Works Mobile Generating Set

This is the name given to the generating set which has wheels and a tow bar which is not approved for road transport but rather designer for small movements around the works. It is made up of:

• Ball or agricultural ring coupling without brake.
• Fixed or articulated tow bar.
• Axel with rubber suspension.
• Metal mudguard.
• Support axel.

Approved Mobile Generating Set

This is the name given to the generating set that is approved for road transport. It includes necessary documentation for registry in the traffic department. It is made up of:

• Ball or ring coupling with fly brake, reverse brake and handbrake.
• Fixed or articulated tow bar.
• One or two axels with rubber suspension, depending on the size of the machinery..
• Metal mudguard.
• Support axel with jockey wheel.
• For plugging into the motor vehicle, including reversing light, turning indicators, brake lights, number plate light, rear lights, rear fog light, rear triangular reflectors and front circular reflectors.
